National Emergency Medical Services Week brings together local communities and medical personnel to publicize safety and honor the dedication of those who provide the day-to-day lifesaving services of medicine’s “front line”. The American College of Emergency Physicians takes this opportunity to celebrate and honor the EMT and paramedic who heroically provide care to those in need, often under daunting circumstances. This year’s theme underscores that commitment: Anytime, Anywhere, We’ll be there.
The Springfield Ambulance Corps celebrated EMS week with a BBQ on Saturday, May 22nd, for our members and their families. This BBQ was held to thank all our members for their time and effort and for the countless hours they devote throughout the year and their families who support them. It is this support that allows Springfield Ambulance to fulfill its mission, and allows our volunteers to continue to serve the Springfield Community.
Guests included Medic 106 (Springfield Hospital), Springfield Police and the Springfield Fire Company.
